Dr. Pramanik began his academic journey from a humble background and achieved exceptional academic and professional excellence through merit and hard work only. He secured a rank of 526 (General Open Merit Candidate) in the State Joint Entrance Examination 2000 and enrolled in MBBS at North Bengal Medical College, Siliguri, India. In 2005, he passed MBBS with outstanding academic records and completed his internship in 2006. During his MBBS course, he excelled as a Class Assistant in Community Medicine and Senior Class Assistant in Gynaecology & Obstetrics and received a College Merit Scholarship in Second Professional MBBS.

Driven by his interest in Internal Medicine, he completed a one-year Housestaffship in General Medicine at NBMC&H in 2007.

In 2008, he was selected as a General Open Merit Candidate (Rank 2015) in the All India Post Graduate Medical Entrance Examination conducted by AIIMS, New Delhi. He enrolled as a Post Graduate Trainee in General Surgery at Veer Surendea Sai Medical College, Burla, Odisha. In 2011, he passed MS (General Surgery) with exceptional academic performance.

Dr. Pramanik gained experience as a Senior Resident Surgeon in the Department of Surgical Oncology at Chittaranjan National Cancer Institute and as a Senior Resident in General Surgery at ESIC PGIMSR & ESIC Medical College, Kolkata. From 2012 to mid-2013, he served as a Clinical Tutor at College of Medicine & JNM Hospital, Kalyani, Nadia.

In 2014, he cleared the prestigious DNB General Surgery Final Examination conducted by the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi. While preparing for Post Doctoral Entrance Examinations, he developed an interest in Urology and began working as a Senior Registrar in Urology at JLN Hospital & Research Centre, Bhilai, Chhattisgarh, from 2014.

During the preparation for Post Doctoral Entrances, he achieved a rank of 64 in the All India DNB SS Entrance Examination conducted by the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi. He also secured All India Rank 6 as an Open General Merit Candidate in the West Bengal Post Doctoral Medical Admission Test conducted by The West Bengal University of Health Sciences, Kolkata.

In 2016, he enrolled as a Post Doctoral Trainee in MCh Urology at the Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education & Research and SSKM Hospital, Kolkata. He completed his MCh Urology in 2019 with excellent academic performances and made notable contributions with national and international publications.

Currently, Dr. Pramanik works as a Visiting Consultant in Urology and Uro-Oncology at Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Cancer Hospital, National Kidney and Prostate Clinic, RG Stone Urology and Laparoscopy Hospital, and HHP Hospital, Kolkata, India.
